Welcome to Holding Space Therapy, LLC
so you’ve been
thinking about
going to therapy…
Maybe you have thought about seeing a therapist at some point or another. Perhaps you talked yourself out of it or convinced yourself that the problem would go away on its own. You’ve tried to think, read, and google search your way out of this. Maybe you’ve even found yourself down a rabbit hole of TikTok and Podcast advice, but it just isn’t working.
Sometimes stigma about discussing feelings and patterns of handling everything on your own for so long lead you to avoid reaching out all together. Maybe you're still questioning if you need or even want to talk to someone. All in all, no matter what you are going through, know that you never have to navigate it alone.
Engaging in therapy is an investment in yourself. It isn’t a magic pill or a quick fix but rather a journey of growth, reflection, self-discovery, and finding the answers within yourself to reach your goals, even if you don't see them yet. Sharing personal details about yourself and your life can be a hard thing to do. Part of a therapist’s job is to help you through the discomfort and hold a space for you to create change. You don’t have to be “good at therapy” to go to therapy.
Therapy is about exploring what you're experiencing, where you want to go, and building the stepping-stones to achieve a life and relationships that are authentically you. Above all and most importantly, doing so within a secure, safe, validating, and judgment-free environment.

No, you do not have to use insurance. Some people opt out of insurance or pay out of pocket when I’m not in-network with their plan. Here are some:
When paying out of pocket, your care is decided by the collaboration of my professional expertise and your personal preferences and goals. An insurance company is no longer in control of what they will pay for and the length of your time/number of sessions in therapy.
A diagnosis label is not permanently attached to your insurance health record.
When you choose to use insurance, you consent to releasing your personal information. Most of the time insurances just require your demographics, date, and diagnosis. However, they can request your full record and other details and I have to release it. By not using insurance, your records are not released to your insurance company. This means all information about you, including very personal information, cannot be obtained by the insurance company.

Most insurances cover all or most of the costs of therapy. Your out of pocket costs will depend on your deductible, copay, and other plan details.
